LOCATION: In the heart of the Lake Vallecito recreation area, you are near the marina, hiking, biking and ATV trails, fishing, hunting, ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling - the San Juan wilderness area is at your doorstep! Vallecito also has a few restaurants and general stores. Appx 25 miles to downtown Durango and 50 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort. The dirt road down to the cabin can be bumpy.

PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $20/day (for a max $120 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone. We do have a fenced outdoor pen area for your dog to play while you are outside with them.

GOOD TO KNOW:
This cabin does not have a washer/dryer.
There is parking for 2 vehicles.
In the State of Colorado, children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times when on any vessel, including boats, kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis etc. People 12 and over must have a life jacket within reach. Please bring your own life jackets.

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

  It would have been nice to have a table with an umbrella on the deck to enjoy dinner outdoors.

  This is a lovely cabin in a great location, walking distance to lake with a beautiful view! Bedrooms and beds were comfortable and I had all the basics to cook with in the kitchen. All VRC staff that I interacted with reserving and asking questions to were phenomenal! I would highly recommend this cabin to others as long as you are ok with two things: 1. The wifi router is located in the cabin next door and as such, the signal was in and out/stronger and weaker at times. 2. The bedroom walls are open at the top to the living area and to each other. If you are with anyone who is going to sleep on a different schedule than you, noise will carry. That said, neither was a deal breaker for me and thank you for a lovely stay!
