Monument offers an abundance of trails, ranging from easy to challenging, including the popular Santa Fe Trail (the trailhead is just a 3-minute drive away), Mount Herman Trail, and Limbaugh Canyon Trail. The Big Bluestem Trail is another great option, featuring stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the Rocky Mountains on its 4.2-mile out-and-back route. Additionally, Monument Lake offers fishing, boating, and other water activities, while the Palmer Lake Reservoir Trail provides breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and landscape. With so many options, you're sure to find something to suit your interests and get out to enjoy the beautiful scenery!

This home is pet-friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs. The pet fee is $40/day (with a $250 maximum per stay). Additional fees for extra dogs will be determined on a case-by-case basis. There is a $300 penalty for not reporting that you are bringing a pet.

A mid-stay inspection is required every 30 days. This will be an additional guest expense of $25/inspection. Mid-stay cleans are available upon request at guest expense.

Routine property maintenance may occur during your stay, such as trash collection, hot tub/pool cleaning, yard work, and plant care.

This home is located in an HOA-controlled neighborhood. By renting this house, you are agreeing to the following rules: No more than 4 cars are allowed at the property. These cars must be parked in the garage or driveway. No loud outside noise after 9pm. And no parties. No smoking tobacco or marijuana on the premises.

  This house is beautiful! It was perfect for our entire family, both adults and children! It was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed plus more! The bedrooms are gorgeous and the beds are so comfortable. The kids loved the secret playroom. This was especially special to us because our late son loved Harry Potter and being around children. It was like having him there with us. The neighborhood was quiet and the area around was very lovely and great for hiking, walking or jogging. The spot was conveniently located to nearby stores and other areas we wanted to visit. I would highly recommend this house to other families!

  We come to Colorado every year in July. This year, we visited Monument and rented this property. We loved the house and its interior design, especially the theme of each room and 4th of July decoration. The owners clearly spent a lot of time to make their clients feel the comfort of home. Our favorite for our little ones was the Harry Potter room. The kitchen had top notch appliances, dishes and utensils. We made great meals for our family. One night, we made popcorn and had a movie night in the basement. Grocery stories were nearby to pick up groceries. There was a Catholic church nearby for us to go to mass on Sunday. I would recommend to my family to come here for a family reunion.

  We stayed here as a larger group and were blown away. The house was spotless and in perfect condition — clearly very well taken care of. It was also incredibly well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need already in place.
  
  A big highlight was the basement game room, packed with fun for the whole family — games, activities, and space to unwind. And then there was the hidden room under the stairs... we won’t spoil the surprise, but it added a touch of magic that made the stay unforgettable.

  Absolutely blown away by this place! As a pretty discerning traveler who’s stayed in a wide range of rentals, this one seriously raised the bar.
  
  First off, the house is spotless—like, not-a-speck-of-dust clean. You can tell the owners take pride in keeping it in top shape. Also, it’s fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. From kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, games, and even workout gear—it felt like staying at a luxury resort and a really thoughtful friend’s house at the same time.
  
  The layout is super spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. It’s cozy enough for a small group to feel at home, but there's easily space for a larger group without feeling cramped. And the basement! It’s basically its own entertainment zone with extra beds, a game area, a secret Harry Potter themed play area for kids, gym equipment—honestly, we could’ve just stayed down there the entire trip.
  
  The location is amazing too. We did a 3-mile walk by a nearby lake with absolutely stunning mountain views right outside the front door. You really get that “Colorado magic” feel, but you’re still super close to everything—Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, the Castle Rock outlets, the Airforce Academy and it’s just a 45-minute drive from Denver Tech Center.
  
  All in all, this home exceeded every expectation. Beautiful, clean, well-stocked, in a killer location—and just easy to feel at home in. Can’t recommend it enough

  Perfect spot for family getaways, wedding parties or larger groups just wanting to relax and have fun! As a big group, we were able to spread out and not feel cramped. It was so nice to have a larger kitchen table plus all the additional eating space in the kitchen so we could enjoy meals all together. We had a beautiful peaceful view from the backyard/hot tub that made us feel like we were in the mountains more than in a neighborhood. We liked how there were TVs in every room. Kitchen was fully stocked with necessities for cooking.
  Beds were very comfortable.
  Kids and adults loved all the games! The kids favorite thing was the secret Harry Potter room with all its Harry Potter themed games and decorations.
  This home was clean and had everything we needed. It felt like a fun, funky hotel and a thoughtfully designed home all in one - would definitely stay here again!
