Tucked into the heart of the Colorado Rockies, Iron Horse Hideaway at Tamarron Resort (Lodge #206) blends cozy mountain charm with modern comforts—your perfect alpine escape. This stylish loft condo offers inviting accommodations for up to four guests, featuring a plush king bed in the sleeping loft and a queen Murphy bed on the main level. As a guest, you'll also receive exclusive discounted access to Glacier’s 18-hole Valley Course—details provided in your rental instructions.

After a day of hiking trails or carving down snowy slopes, unwind by the warm glow of the electric fireplace. The thoughtfully updated kitchen is nearly full-sized and includes a spacious refrigerator, dual stovetop burners, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, and coffee maker—everything you need for easy home-cooked meals.

The full bathroom features contemporary finishes and a tub/shower combo for a relaxing soak or quick refresh. Stay connected with Wi-Fi speeds of approximately 100+ Mbps and enjoy access to resort amenities including a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, and scenic golf course.

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at a special discounted rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years). Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

If you booked on a third party site (VRBO, Airbnb, etc), your cancellation is subject to their policy. We do offer travel insurance.

  Iron Horse Hideaway at Tamarron Resort is an absolute gem! This cozy loft condo is the perfect blend of mountain charm and modern convenience, providing a fantastic retreat for up to four people. The sleeping arrangements are excellent, with a comfortable king bed in the loft and a handy queen Murphy bed on the main level.
  
  One of the highlights is the well-equipped kitchen. It's almost full-sized and has everything you need to cook great meals after a day of adventure, from a large fridge and dual stovetop burners to a dishwasher and coffee maker. You can relax by the electric fireplace and enjoy the warm, inviting atmosphere.
  
  Also discounted access to the Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course, a wonderful bonus for golf enthusiasts. The resort amenities are a real treat, too, including a heated pool, hot tub, and fitness center.
  
  With fast Wi-Fi and a beautifully updated bathroom, this hideaway truly has it all. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy all that the Colorado Rockies have to offer! If you are looking for an alternative stay for the Connie Mack WS, it’s a short 1hr and 15min drive, but offers way more to do in the down time. Highly recommend!!!

  My wife and I spent almost a week in Durango to celebrate her 60th birthday. We stayed at the Tamarron Lodge #206. It was centrally located to our day excursions and offered everything we needed. It is also nice having access to pickle, tennis, golf, indoor and outdoor pool, and hot tub. We grilled out a couple of nights on the property's grill and met some very nice people. The room was great and we would highly recommend staying there to anybody visiting the area.

  The condo was EXACTLY as depicted and was so cozy and comfortable! I slept so well, woke up to amazing views and enjoyed my morning coffee by the lovely fireplace. Tamarron is in such a beautiful location amongst the trees and mountains. The views were absolutely incredible. The restaurants had excellent service and food. The service from VRC was great - but I truly didn't need anything once I checked in. The condo was perfect! I would 100% recommend this property to family and friends. I can't wait to return. Missing my cozy condo already!
