Black Bear townhome (Unit 90) is located directly across from Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory) and is a perfect basecamp for your vacation no matter the season. The townhome features 3 bdr and 2.5 bath. The gourmet kitchen with granite tile counters and stainless steel appliances includes a bar with seating & opens to the main living space & dining area. Enjoy great views of the ski slopes from either balcony or take a short walk to the community gazebo with space for outdoor dining as well as a fire pit and outdoor bbq area. The home is located near the Purgatory Flats trail head, one of the finest and most scenic hikes in the area as well as a stocked pond for fishing. The master bdrm features a gas fireplace, TV and balcony. All of the bedrooms along with the main living space have flat screen TVs. There is a 1 car garage or catch the free on demand shuttle or simply walk across highway 550 & be at the lifts in less then 2 mins.

This property is pet friendly and the pet fee is $25/per day. We allow up to 2 dogs per stay. The maximum pet fee is $150. Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Xmas/New Years).

We are taking appropriate steps to prepare for your stay. Housekeepers adhere to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance relative to cleaning and disinfecting. In addition to their regular cleaning regimen, they are following best practices, paying close attention to high touch surfaces, and using the EPA-approved disinfectants for hard (non-porous) surfaces, soft (porous) surfaces and electronics.
COVID-19 Cxlation Policy (applies to reservations booked after April 21, 2020): A pymt of $300 is required to reserve the property at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due & is fully refundable if the reservation is cxled at least 30 days prior to the arrival date, which is when the full reservation pymt is due. After the final pymt is made, & up to 7 days prior to arrival, the dates of the reservation may be changed without penalty (note the nightly rate might be higher) or 100% of the payment amount can be applied as a credit for a future stay (within 12 months of the booking date). Cxlations or changes to the reservation that result in a shortened stay, which are made within 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, will forfeit the entire reservation amt.
Cxlation Policy (applies to reservations booked April 21, 2020, or earlier): A payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 pymt is applied toward the total amt due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 45 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cxlations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 45 days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amt while cxlations made more than 45 days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 pymt made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least 30 nts, the cxlation policy above increases to 60 days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.

    Black Bear 90 was perfect. The townhome was well appointed and offered all the little extras to make our stay more comfortable. No need to purchase any usual cooking items. The kitchen had everything. The home was nicely layer out and quiet. The grounds around the development were beautifully maintained. Our dog loved playing in the lake. Plenty of hikes nearby. We’d stay again.

    LOVE this condo. This is our 5th year to Durango and our 2nd time to rent Black Bear 90. We visit once a year right after Christmas with a couple other families. Unit 90 is BEAUTIFUL and clean. It looks brand new and the décor is super cute. We cook majority of the time we are there, and the unit has enough pots/pans to cover your cooking needs. The unit is right across the street from the ski resort which is ideal. You will be given a number for a shuttle that will pick you up at your door step and drive you across the street to the resort. There is a designated area devoted to Black Bear for pick up. The shuttle is quick to pick up from the resort, but we always call when we are walking down from the slopes to make them aware we are ready for a pick up. We have stayed in town before, but if you are plan on skiing I highly recommend staying on the mountain and in Black Bear 90. Great vacation and great condo.

    We had a great staycation over Thanksgiving at this condo. The condo was beautiful and extremely clean and cozy. The holiday decorations added a nice touch as well. The kitchen was stocked well enough for us to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub at the Purg club. Overall, it was a few days well spent relaxing and eating.
